Inaugural Post

Mission Statement:  To inject some sanity into political and social discourse by appealing to right reason, exposing fallacies and slipshod thinking that seem to be ubiquitous in the national conversation.

  1. They say our President is a constitutional lawyer, but they won't release his academic records to show us just how much he learned about the Constitution. This week he clearly showed that he has not learned very much at all.

Now Jay Carney and Eric Holder are backpedaling and re-spinning the tale for all its worth.

But I think President Obama is adding insult to injury. Did he forget that in last year's state of the union address he quite visibly before the American people talked down to the Supreme Court with regards to their then recent Citizen's United decision? We all remember that Chief Justice Roberts was quite visibly miffed at the suggestion by the President that they had gotten it wrong. But has anybody pointed out that real target of that insult in the state of the union address was Justice Kennedy, who was the author of the ruling? Given how Mr. Obama dissed Kennedy then, is it really surprising that Kennedy showed his contempt for ObamaCare last week?
